The Fantastic Four 2015 Full Movie

Fantastic Four (stylized as Fant4stic) is a 2015 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name. It is the third theatrical Fantastic Four film to be distributed by 20th Century Fox, and areboot of the Fantastic Four film franchise. Directed by Josh Trank, who co-wrote the screenplay with Jeremy Slaterand Simon Kinberg, the film stars Miles Teller, Michael B. Jordan, Kate Mara, Jamie Bell, Toby Kebbell, Reg E. Cathey, and Tim Blake Nelson. In Fantastic Four, the team must learn to harness abilities gained from an alternate universe to save Earth from a friend turned enemy.

Development of the film began in 2009, with principal photography going from May 2014 to August 2014. Fantastic Four was primarily shot in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Studio executives, concerned with Trank’s footage, mandated reshoots, which took place in January 2015. Fantastic Four premiered in New York on August 4, 2015, and was released to the rest of the United States three days later. The film received negative reception from critics and audiences. At the box office, it underperformed, earning $56 million in North America and $167 million worldwide. A sequel is scheduled to be released in July 2017.

The Fantastic Four

On screen, the Fantastic Four remain the poor relations of the Marvel superhero family. The first (2005) episode of last decade’s F4 diptych at least showed some flippant pop-culture fizz. But this unnecessary reboot is a solemn affair, visually murky and misjudged. After a laborious build-up about plucky young things building a teleportation machine, the revelation of the quartet’s transformations feels incongruously macabre, with the faintest overtones of David Cronenberg. The villainous Dr Doom is even feebler than his earlier incarnation; he starts as a sullen Byronic hipster (Toby Kebbell) and becomes just another radioactive malcontent shooting bolts of green fire. For anyone who remembers the strip as drawn by Jack Kirby in its wildly inventive 60s prime, this is beyond depressing.
